Lessons Learned from a newly crowned PMP as of yesterday

Hi Guys,
I just passed my PMP yesterday and it was certainly challenging.
Firstly read PMBOK (zzzzzzzzzz) and Rita's book. Then my main focus was getting to know the 47 processes. I printed out a document I found online listing all of them, then read their sections in the PMBOK, got to know everything underneath them and wrote detailed note's in my document. I found this extremely helpful. I then made a generic excel template and wrote them down in it everyday at least once. Last two weeks of studying I did nothing but tests. I did the Cornelius PM Simulators and got around 80's on all tests. Then on my last three days I had a mental breakdown and couldn't study anymore, so I stopped studying as I figured I either knew it or I didn't at this point. So on Sunday I watched football, Monday anxiety attacks and Tuesday total grump and more anxiety attacks. But then it was test time on Tuesday and thank goodness that worked out well for me.

My exam test taking tips which I thought worked great (for me at least):
I didn't waste too much time on any question. I went through and answered with my instinct if I didn't know it I answered as best as I could and marked it for later. If I was 75%-100% sure it was right I didn't mark it. At the end I went through all the marked questions (I had about an hour or so left) and when I was done there was about 7 minutes left so I clicked end. It went to a blank white/beige page an took about a minute (seemed like an hour) and then a Prometric box came up and said processing then the magical page came up that said congratulations. I was shaking like a leaf at that point and I could hear my heart beating. I ended up getting 3 MP's and 2 P's. But I really didn't think I did good which I think is the norm for taking the test. So my big recommendation is remember that 25 questions are throwaways and out of the 175 left you only need to get about 106 to 115 correct so we have a lot of room for error. Basically we can get a lot wrong and still pass hence the thinking we aren't doing good. Good luck to all on the exam as I have finished my journey and hope you all do too:) Thank you to everyone for all your great contributions!
