*** Last few days before 'Judgement Day' ***
Submitted by YogSam on Fri, 02/13/2015 - 00:50
To all who have successfully passed PMP , Veterans , Coaches and all others who are planning to appear in near future.
What helps more in the last few days. Giving full MOCK tests to keep the flow going and be in the test mood OR going through the notes and PMBOK one last time ?
If it is notes & going through PMBOK how many days before actual test date shall we stop giving tests and start flipping pages of PMBOK and notes.
Any input is much appreciated as you know there are so many Ifs and so many Buts in this exam.

Totally depends on case to
Totally depends on case to case basis. Some people like to revise till last minute and some people want to close all studies few days or one day before.
If you are confident, you can close the studies 1 day before and relax before final exam or you can read some notes over to stay in touch in you go for final exam.

PMP Last Moment Preparation
As per my view, quick revision of all the things (4-5 days) which you studied during your PMP journey will be an advantage. After the revision DON'T Attemp any mock. Just take one day rest before exam day. Practice cheat sheet on that day....And the final Exam day...!!!
So idially you should stop giving full mock before a week otherwise random bad result may decrease your conficence..

Game Day not Judgment Day
YogSam,
I looked forward to my PMP test date as "game day" rather than "judgment day". I'm from the U.S. and "game day" means it's a day of a big game or match.
Do not fear the PMP test day. Look forward to the test day.
I looked forward to my PMP test date. Yes, I worried about the PMP test date but I looked forward to that day. I remember thinking that I was as well prepared as I could be. I also remember thinking that I could not have possibly worked harder in preparation for the test.
I'm not a young person YogSam, but I even trained my body to take 4 hour tests and I even changed my diet two weeks before the test to simulate test day.
I did not study much a day or two before the test, my preparations were already complete.
I believe positive energy (it's game day) is more valuable for the test than negative energy. I was a PMP athlete ready for the PMP test. I was fully prepared and eager to test my skills in probably the biggest test of my life.
I "won the game" and passed the test in June 2013.
Best Wishes on Passing the PMP,

I agree. Probably last week
I agree. Probably last week or so is for revision and getting ready in positive mood and energy rather than going on and on and on with mock tests.....
