Pls. clarify, who is responsible for organizing training for a new resoure in a project?

a. human resource dept
b. project manager
c. functional manager
d. training dept

Official Training is an environmental enterprise factor, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Human Resource Dept.

I was under a impression that resource training is part of functional manager 's responsibility but the Answer is B the project manger, pls through some light on this.

 This is sort of PMI'sm and you may not have have exact same experience in your organization/real world. As per PIMBOK, after acquiring team you devlop your team. One of tools/technique for  Develop Project Team process is training. So PM is reaponsible for this activity. 

Also, best way to get these kind of questions right where question does not paint a clear picture for organizational structure, consider yourself as a PM of strong matrix organization.

The keyword is "project" here. As per this question you have to assume that the question is asking about training given to resource for the project work. For such training, HR and FM do not care as its project specific training.


The answer here is "Project Manager".
