A project team has been arguing for days about the correct way to complete a high-level design. This argument has caused the schedule performance index (SPI) to fall to 0.89 and the cost performance index (CPI) to 0.8. If the project manager tells the team, "We will schedule this discussion for our team meeting next week," the project manager is:



a) Compromising
b) Increase costs even further
C) using earned value
D) Withdrawing

My answer was Increase costs even further. The correct answer is withdrawing.

But this is also "Increased costs even further ' should be correct.becuase if he postpone meeting then ofcourse it will increase the cost

 Hey this is the way I understood it. There is conflict and it impacted project by increasing cost and slippage in the schedule....yes pm was suppose to fix the conflict ASAP but he preferred to postpone it means withdrawal ...that's true that cost will keep on increasing n slippage will get worse too but question is talking about conflict as major concern so approach against it is best choice . I hope it make sense.
