How PMP certification is going to help for a person from Testing background

I am Ganesh, working as a Test Manager. I am very much interested in doing PMP certification. I would like to know how PMP certification is going to help me in my career growth or moving towards project management.

 PMP is well recognized and valued, it endorses your Project management skills . HEnce the certification is valuable and it can help you in your career both from progression perspective and from a learning perspective.
