Figure 10.15 PMBOK 4

Dear All

There is mistake in in column [cost EV-AC versus 6.0practice manual] = -200, this is wrong value, this should be 200.

Actually my intension to write this topic is not up to this one, and I want to know about, what is universal way (mathematical rule) to write a negative number.

For negative sign, PMBOK is using two types of notations at a time, small brackets (any number) as well as minus sign "- any number".

Small bracket is not a mathematical language, or any accounting language.
Symbols and signs in maths and accounts have their meanings and they are used under a universal bye laws.

I don’t find small brackets are to be used as minus sign, it is not universally accepted way.
Not only this, following PMBOK all PMI related publications use small brackets as "-" {negative} sign (method).

Maybe it is traditionally being used in USA. Or it might be used in any computer language.

But PMBOK is an International Document. And they should follow the correct notations.
