Duration Estimates Questions
Need help, with the following questions:
Question: All the following statements regarding the creation of duration estimates are correct EXCEPT:
(1) Mathematical analyses like CPM, GERT and PERT indicate the dates on which the activity can be scheduled, given resource limits and other constraints
(2) Duration compression techniques, including fast tracking and crashing, can help in decreasing the project schedule
(3) WBS classification allows for useful activity ordering and sorting
(4) The duration of the project is the sum of the duration of all the tasks in the project
I understand that 4 is the correct choice. However I don't get choice 1 as CPM, GERT and PERT don't provide dates. Can anyone help me out?

CPM helps in identifying
CPM helps in identifying below mentioned dates:-
PERT helps in estimating the effort (hours) and it doesn't indicate the dates.
GERT helps in coming up with Activity Network Diagram and it doesn't indicate the dates.
So, point#1is partially correct.
Thanks & Regards,
