Difference between Residual risk and secondary risk

Difference between Residual risk and secondary risk

can some one explain with example?

Hi,
Residual risk is the risk that remains after the risk response has been applied. For example you applied you risk response plan but still some traces of risk remains.
Secondary risk is the risk which originates due to a risk response plan has been applied. For example due to a part of risk response plan you moved to another location . But this creates another risk(like union problem) which was not there . This kind of risk is secondary risk. Residual risk is like precipitate. In secondary risk one risk is eliminated but due to that another risk originates.
Hope this helps
