This is a highly debated and discussed topic among PMpians
Could i reply in this way:
Have you heard that Change control system is a subset of configuration control system- if not , it is in PMBOK
And some Configuration control activities is performed under Integrated change control process. - this is also in PMBOK
Q A
According to the PMBOK Guide, Fourth Edition:p94 last pera
Configuration Control focuses on the specifications of of both the deliverables and the processes.
Change Control is focused on identifying, documenting and controlling changes to the project and the product baselines.
Q B
status of all changes approved or not
Q C
change requests which has been processed through intigrated change control process and approved
--------------------------------
one concept regarding Configuration and Change control:
Configuration Control provides a ID card to any product or process
where as Change control modifies or linked up new product or process, and require to be re/configured .
