diff between resource calendar and resource histogram

Can somOne help me with the difference  on resource calendar and resource histogram.  And if possible the example pic                       thanx sree

 HISTOGRAM  - 9.1.3.1 P224

One tool for charting Human resources is called - Resourse HISTOGRAM. It contains bars as resourse hours needed for particular period (shown at x axis). One Horzontal line , which shows possible maximum hours available continuesly for a project time.

CALENDAR

6.3.1.3 ---- it idescribes all human, equipment , and material , potentially available for planned activiries during project. It describes when and how these resources will be available during project.

Hello pawarji,

I have one question here.

If we consider resource calendar mentioned in 9.2.3.2 , is that  same as resource histogram?

because here resource calendar with regard to project team member and not other resources like equipment etc.

Please clarify
