q43 and q49 have wrong
q43 and q49 have wrong answers as explained by sspawar.
Tq43: he free float is akin to the number of resting days b4 the next activity starts;
I calculate Free float as FF = ESs - EFp - 1;
If we are to calculate FF for activity C: It's completed on May4th and the next activity is G; starts on May 12th. There are 7 resting days i.e 12 - 4 - 1 = 7 days.
q49: If activity F is delayed for 6 days, total estimated duration for ABDFH = 15+6 = 21; That's an additional 1 day to the original deadline.thus making this path the new CP.

Dear Penuel,Pl see in Q 43 ,
Dear Penuel,
Pl see in Q 43 , he is asking for activity F, while you are calculating for C.
For Q 49, my answer is - increase 1 day (A), = means the same 20+1 = 21 days CP Duration.
It seems you are referring from available source which has changes in Q 43 and Questions are solved (Q49 and Q43) in different way .

Hi sspawar, thanks for ur
Hi sspawar, thanks for ur observations;
As per q43, i only gave fiurther explanations by calculating free float of C; I know very well what the question asked for. probably, i should hv started wit "for example, if we were to calculate"
Per q49: u explained hw u got 1; meanwhile, to reinforce my understanding, i had to explain my own ways; Expressing an oppinion either repetetive or in a different way ultimately helps to internalize the concepts; notwithstanding the afct that it might lead to redundancy
These steps were also not meant to undermine what u wrote; however, I appreciate ur concerns.
Regards.

how to use the lag value
Hi,
Im not able to do this math. The activity F has a lag of 2 days . FS -2. Hence, in the network diagram how will I account for it while calcluating float. Can I take the earliest and latest start time incremented by 2 days . ie Earlist start time = 8 instead of 6.
Please explain
Renji
