co worker as reference

Hi,

I am trying to fill out PMP certifiate application form. Can I use my co-worker as reference? If so, should I indicate the co-worker as "major stake holder".

Thanks.

Hi Yuhang Zhao,

No, your co-worker is NOT a major stakeholders as per PMI application for PMP. For every project you mention you should give the name of Project Manager or similar senior reporting in the chain.

I am not sure, but might ask, what if the Project Manager has left the company or he is not in contact with you. In this case, you can give the name of the current project manager of the same project or Team leader leading the same project, you can also give the HR manager name if the HR manager agrees to sign on behalf of the project manager.

I hope this helps. All the best for PMP exam!
