I cleared my PMP exam today. It was my second attempt .

Learinngs :

1. Read PMBOK twice

2. Rita's PMP prep - read it twice and complete all the exercises at the end of each chapter

3. Do as many exams as you can get your hands on

4. Do not underestimate the exam - and especially sitting in one place for 4 hours if you are not used to it.

5. It is not a technical exam ( I have taken a lot of technical certifications before - led to some slack on my part )

6. Read every question once / twice or even three times if possible.

Referred page 43 of PMBOK ( Very IMportant )

Did all the questions at the end

PMROADTRIP exams

Oliver Lehman questions

Exam Plan :

Get comfortable with the formulas..

Read up on IITO before you get into the exam

Attempt simple questions first - skip the numerical questions for the second pass

Finish the numerical questions on the second pass

Finish Incomplete questions on the third pass

Review Marked questions on the fourth pass

If time permits and you feel like it ... go through the questions again..

I finished the exam in 2:30 hours...

TIP : Prometric allows you to take in soda ( not exactly in but you can keep it outside and have the same when taking a break - same for coffee too - if you feel bogged down or want to take a break from sitting in the same place for a long time - then you can have a soda or coffee outside and take it when you take your break - worked very well for me )

Also went through CHowdhary's notes and the wonderful comments and suggestions on this forum...
