I passed my PMP exam yesterday in first try. Got Proficient in almost all categories and moderately Proficient in one. Didn't study that much. Used Rita's book and the exercises at the end of chapter. That is all. Did not take any classes. Tried reading PMBOK but only read the first two chapters. Did not have time for much preparation because of work and household responsibilities. Did couple of practice tests using Exam Central. Spent two days (evenings after work) prior to the exam going over materials. Should have taken the exam long time ago. Kept putting it off because people said it was tough. Did not find it tough - just a bit silly. The questions are not testing your skills. They are more trick questions. I don't think the format of the test is very useful.

Just want to encourage people thinking of taking the exam to do so and not hesitate because they heard it was tough.
