Hi guys I just wanted to know how many breaks can we take during the exam. Can we take multiple breaks, that is any time during the exam or is there a set interval during which we are allowed to take a break.
Thanks in advance.

As many as you want. But there is certain restriction on the time you could be away from the test. Guess it depends on your test center. I wrote my exam in Prometric Center.
I took one break for around 3-5 mins.

To my knowledge there is no limitations to taking break. You should know by now that break timing is part of your exam countdown i.e. even if you take break the exam timer continues. So, its your choice to take break and the number of times, but make sure you don't take break for all 4 hours otherwise your PMP dream would break. Hahahaha
Specific to your question, its all individual habits, I know many of of students who finished their exam in just 3 hours without any break. Most of the students take 1-2 breaks of about 5-10 minutes each.

Dear Nobel/Shweta Ahuja,
When we were in class 3, there was a Cricket Camp organised for students of class 3-5. Yours truly was also one of the 60 selected. During our huddle, when the coach was explaining us various things and take-aways from the camp, there was one guy who asked, "Sir, how do we get breaks during practice match for loo or the conventional number 1 or number 2?" Sir replied, when you are playing a match you are so dehydrated that you need not think in terms of going to the toilet, forget about using.
Needless to say that boy could never be selected in the final 25 because instead of concentrating on the game, he was more worried about using the bathroom. And today that class 3 student is only posting on Zilla and giving his 2nd attempt in Prometric soon :)
When one is taking the PMP test, breaks would never cross his or her mind except for one break for using the bathroom or drinking some water. During my 1st attempt, BTW, I took 4 breaks and the result is for all to see.
Dont go there with empty stomach but empty bladder and things would be just fine. One has to answer 200 questions in 4 hours, and during those 4 hours you take break or go off to sleep nobody gives a damn!

That is a good point to know that breaks are part of the exam time. I frankly didnot know about this. This is a very useful info to plan for the exam. We easily tend to get distracted and loose concentration in the middle. So we could plan our strategy accordingly. Thanks for the info.
