There is approximately a 99 percent chance of completing this activity in 86 to 134 days.
There is approximately a 68 percent chance of completing this activity in 98 to 122 days.
There is approximately a 95 percent chance of completing this activity in 98 to 122 days.
There is approximately a 75 percent chance of completing this activity in 86 to 134 days.

Got the logic but have a simple use question here how did we arrive to know we are to use the +\- 1 sigma value which is 68.27%?

  • 1σ = 68.27%
  • 2σ = 95.45%
  • 3σ = 99.73%

6σ = 99.99985%

1 sigma deviation 68.27% of chance of completing this activity 110+/-12(1 sigma deviation)  = 98 to 122 days.
2 sigma deviation 95.45% of chance of completing this activity 110+/-12X2(2 sigma deviation)  = 86 to 134 days.
3 sigma deviation 99.73% of chance of completing this activity 110+/-12X3(3 sigma deviation)  = 74 to 146 days.
 
What about 6 Sigma Please can explain someone?

6 sigma would be 99.9998%.. So according to the steps outline that should be 12 * 6 = 72. Then the answer should be = 38 to 182 days right?

i know that calculations.  Where, am i  asking about  it 6 sigma is  applicable to Control Charts or not.

I found in andy crowe 6 sigma also applicable for control charts.
