Thanks for responding. The answers according to the website are CBADDDACC. You have got 7 correct. I have some concerns regd the answers. If you don't mind can you clarify them.

Q58. As the project is closed why do we have to conduct scope verification. Shouldn't we directly go to "do unethical lessons learned" and close the project

Q36. Isn't the last step of project closing " Archive project documents"

Q103. Isn the first step of project closure "A. . Get formal sign off from the customer to confirm customer acceptance of final deliverable" . " measure project scope against project management plan" should have been done in control scope and acceptance should be received in verify scope.

168. A project manager has made the final delivery to the customer and the team is in the process of completing administrative and contract closure. The team has also completed the final version of the lessons learned in corporate database. Which of the following is a critical activity that the project manager should complete before formally closing the project?

. As it is mentioned that the team has completed the final version of the lessons learned, shouldn't the nest and final step be optionD, Index and archive the project records.

this is based on what i think and best answers. Others can correct me if i am wrong.

58 . Release the team members

36. Archive Project Documents

103. Measure project scope against project management plan

106. Do a scope verification of this deliverable to check if it satisfies project objectives

154. Analyze the various alternatives and do a detailed impact analysis before proceeding with the change

161. Capture all the change requests, along with their current status and follow the contract change control system

168. Index and archive the project records

189.A. Raise a change request form and send it for approval to change control board

58   c - as per PMBOK4 p100 --- the FIRST thing the project manager should do- option C.

36   b - as per PMBOK4 p100, No doubt In administrative closure  last - activity is index and archive, but PMI circulated a publication in August 2011 -http://www.pmi.org/en/Certification/Project-Management-Professional-PMP/...Domain v. - Closing, - it inclides a last step/task option B

60   a - definate start and end and a definite measurable objective, hence project

103 d ---  as per PMBOK4 p99 and 100

106 d -- this is as per scope verification process - essential activity

154 d -- you should not go for extra beyond - scope, it is scope creep or gold plating

161 b - it is quite obvious. option A may be an answer but in real world it is not an easy action and addition alteration, ammendment may be done at any extend, or additionally new contract may award to same comapany or other one without stopping running work/contract.

168 c -- question is asking which one is critical activity -- formal sign off is more critical than all internal activities.

189 a --- it should be the next step, in triple constraint - cost of quality has been assessed, then option c would not be relevant.

I am still confused with answer D for question 103.  "Measure project scope against project management plan" is part of Verify Scope process and it falls under Monotoring and Controlling.  While the question is asking about Closing Phase area.  Thats why I think the answer should be A.

Hi sspawar, u made a relevant referrence to the pmi document (domain Vs closing)

Thanks for the update as it was helpful in understanding q36

Which free exam these questions are part of?

it is written in PMBOK4 word to word - last4th line of P99.

its meaning is that while closing - Scope finally will be verified(you can say measured) with respect to PMP.

Questions are from where- originator may say about?

These questions are from simplilearn free mock exam.

I am still not convinced with closing questions esp Q103.  I read closing in PMBOK a lot of times.

Hi Josupra, kindly share the link(s) of the free mock tests.
