Is the 35 hours of classroom study mandatory for taking the PMP

My question is pretty naive. I wanted to understand whether the 35 hours are mandatory and how does PMI ensure that one has completed the hours?

Hi,


Yes 35 hours training is required. It can be classroom or online through an registered provider.


At the time of filling application, you need to provide details like when and from where did you do your training. If application is selected in Audit process, then you need to submit proof to validate the same.

I guess the 35 hours classroom instruction and review will be sufficient. If you have project management background, it would be nice. - Green Water Technologies
