Question about network diagram

Does this list of activities make sense? The way I'm reading it, the 5 has two different durations - 5 months and 1 month. The End, which isn't even supposed to be an activity, has durations of 3 and 4 months as well. 

What am I misunderstanding about this?

Hi,

there are two ways for doing the activities, one called activity on Node (AON) and the other is activity on arrow (AOR). the example is using the Activity on Arrow. so when you do the option #5, it will have two arrows/activities and two duration.

if the example was using Activity on Node, option #5 will have the duration inside the node.

google about AOR and AON.
