PMI Code of Ethics Question

 Your project just completed, and one of your subcontractors has sent you the tickets for the next IPL cricket match to thank you for your business. What is the BEST way to respond?

 
1. Thank the subcontractor, but do not give him preference in the next RFP
2. Thank the subcontractor, but politely refuse the gift
3. Ask for tickets for the entire team, so that it is fair to everyone
4. Report the subcontractor to PMI
 
What should be the right answer?

 2 is correct but why not report to PMI as it is bribe?

Reporting happens when there has been clear violations. In case You has accepted the Gift, I would have reported to PMI. But offering Gifts can be a custom at some places, hence refuse the gift is the right answer from PMI global perspective.

 I kind of want to agree with your explaination but I am not 100% sure as if it related to some custom of the country then the normally question has a word custom or culture in the question but both these words are not of the question and that is why it confused me.
