Some Confusions to clear
1. You are a project manager of a company and your project is currently in execution phase. The customer has requested you for additional work. This work will affect the budget, but not the schedule of the project. What should you do next?
A. Add the additional requirements to the project plan.
B. Ignore the request.
C. Explain the change procedure and ask to submit a request for change.
D. Discuss with the project team about the change.
Confusion: In such type of questions, we have seen that after you first need to analyze the impact. Here, that is already done. Next step is to discuss with the team and have options. The answer here is C and not D. I need to know under what case do we have C as the answer and under what case will the answer be D.
2. There are questions where you are asked where will you refere to know when the resources on your project would need to be acquired and when to release them. The choices would have both the options like Humar Resource Management Plan and Staffing Management Plan. Under such a situtaion, what should be the choide. HR Plan or Staffing Management Plan. We know that Staffing Management Plan is subset of the HR Management Plan.
3. Professional Responsibilities. The thing that confuses me is when to accept a gift and when to refuse for the same. If there are choices that makes you thing that accept the gift because it is customary in the country you are working. Should we select the choice with "Accept the Gift" or should we select the choice with "Accept the Gift and left your Management Know about the same".
Similary in case of making payments to get the work done or get the work done faster, should we make the payment or not. At times, it says yes, you can make payment to officials to get the work done. At times, it says that making payment can be considered as Bribes. Please suggest with examples.
4. Communication Channels.
John is in charge of a project that deals with laying out a lavish 18 hole golf course.The project work is in progress. He also has a number of contractors working on the project. Being an experienced manager, he knows that communication is key to success of the project. He has identified 10 stakeholders with whom he needs to communicate. Due to some internal and external organizational changes at the client end, three new stakeholders have been added with whom he needs to communicate with. He also had to reduce one of the contractors with whom he were communicating. How many communication channels does he has now?
A. 45
B. 78
C. 91
D. 66
Confusion here is in what case to add PM in the "count" and in what case not to add the PM in the count. Please help to clarify.
