question - on job offer outside of your skills

24/31 You are an experienced project manager and you have already successfully completed several road construction projects for your compagny, your compagny CEO is verry happy with your performance and has rewarded you with a salary increase. he as also designated you as the project manager for the new building construction project your compagny will soon be undertaking. you are very happy with this appreciation but you are a bit concerend since you dont have building construction management experience, what should you do

 

a. not acccept this assignment

b. start exploring lesson learned for past construction

c. thank your CEO in a formal letter

d. resign from the compagny.

 

 

I tought it was C.

 

I dont know why it is not c, there is many similar other question, where the answer is to accept even if you never did that kind of management

Why is Option a incorrect.


Since PMI suggest that we should not take only those assignments which are conslstent with out skills.

As per PMI ethics and code of conduct the correct answer is option A.

One should not accept the assignment , if he do not qualify for the same.
