Linkage of Create WBS and validate Scope

The process create WBS gives output to Scope Baseline which goes to validate scope as per PMBOK figure5-10 page 126. But the input to validate scope as per PMBOK figure5-15 page 133 does not show scope baseline as input. Can somebody explain why there is no linkage?

Good question!!

In validate scope, project management plan is one of the  inputs which in turn contains scope baseline as described below.

Project management plan (PMP) - describes how the scope will be defined, managed, valdiated and controlled.

PMP contains - scope management and scope baseline. 

Scope management plan - how the scope will be verified and accepted

scope baseline - approved version of project scope statement, WBS and WBS dictionary
