MS Project 2013 Certification

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please shed some light about the utility of these MS Project Certifications (74-343 & 74-344)? Does it really hold any water with recruiters and hiring managers?

Hi Diba

It does carry weight if you want to take up job of Project manager. For Senior PM, and higher roles it may not be that much important.

I know that small and medium size companies give importance to certifications as they cannot afford to hire a PM who is not capable of Planning / scheduling effectively.

If you can show extensive experience in MPP in your resume then and if you can answer questions on scheduling in interview, then certification may not be of that much help

Moreover, I've heard that Microsoft has placed these two certifications in the 'no longer supported' list! Not really sure what that means.
