Earned Value interpretation

Q24. You have calculated Earned Value measures and report them to your stakeholders. BAC = 20,000; PV = 18,600; EV = 17,500; AC= 17,000; CPI=1.03; SPI=0.94; EAC= 19.400. What do these figures tell you about the project performance to date?


A. The budget at completion is less than estimate at completion


B. You are ahead of schedule


C. The estimate at completion is over the original budget


D.The cost performance index tells us that we are getting a good return for the money spent on the project so far

Isn't this fairly simple or am I missing something? :)

Options A & C are basically saying the same thing. They are incorrect because BAC > EAC. 

B is incorrect because SPI < 1. 

That leaves D and its fairly logical since CPI > 1.

Correct ans is D.


For some reason, I was reading Estimate at completion as ETC and trying to calculate that.


This shows the mental equilibruim needed during the examination. Even a simple question, could make or break the deal.

If you own a company you may be depending on an on the internet interpretation type or even a individual buddy to do all your translations, however, many interpretation types on the internet are not appropriate and your buddy may not be able to convert into all the 'languages' you need for your company to develop. You may even discover a few application applications that will convert your documents; however, they are not reliable.
