Company policy

Our company policy is to safe workers at site and produce best product

01. Plan Quality

02. Perform Quality assurance

03. Perform Quality control

04. Compoany slogan

Plan quality

There should not be any problem rejecting QA and QC from the possible answer.

Now, two options left - Plan Quality or Company Slogan.

The Plan Quality produces two very important project documents along with procedures. These are 1) Quality Checklist & 2) Quality Metrics.

Quality Checklist - It shows the attributes of the product. E.g. - the product should be white. In the Quality Checklist, you tick on (Yes) or (No).

Now, think about a Quality Checklist where one of the line says - "The Product should be the best."

Will you be able to tick on Yes or No ?

You will be like - "What the heck ? Define Best ? "

Similarl logic can be given for Quality Metrics. Quality Metrics give information on Variable Data. E.g. - The length of the product should be 10 cm +/- 5%.

The statement does not meet the criteria for metrics or checklist. Therefore, it can not be Plan Quality.

It is simply a slogan.

@  Sunku

You have given Plan Quality as the best choice. Could you please provide the reasoning behind it ?

Thanks

Our company policy is to safe workers at site and produce best product.

According to Rita Page 312.  Understanding differance between PQ,QA & QC is   stating that:

Plan Quality Management : Focuces on defining quality for the Project, the product, and project management and planning how it will be achived.

This question "Our company policy is to safe workers at site and produce best product" stating that how it will be achived is one of the policy.  All Policies and Standards are must be implemented in QA.  The Audit team is checks whether these policies and standards are followed or not while project is executing.  If not following the reccommond corrective action.

Moreover,  if the Company have any policies or standards  the PM need to adopt that otherwise the PM itself need to create new Quality Policy while developing Quality Management Plan. The input of Organization Process Assets as exactly this Policies and Standards.

company slogan itself company policy.  But it is made-up process.  Not PMBOK's one.

I have read and re-read your post several times. The gist i am getting is that you are saying - "All the company policies must be implemented in the QA." The question statement says that the line is a company policy. Therefore, you have selected Plan Quality as the right choice.

I am not against adding company policies into Plan Quality. Every project manager must consider the company policy while identifying the standard and policies for the Plan Quality process.

What i am saying is that it has to be something which is 'auditable'. Producing the best product is not auditable. On top of that, what is best may not be best for another customer.

My previous employer had this company policy - "Zero non-conformance product". Now, that is a very much an auditable statement. And, it must be included in the Plan Quality.

Being said that, I may be totally wrong in my lines above. I need to do some google search to find it out.
