Stakeholder Management – The 10th Knowledge Area of Project Management

Course:  PMP Topic:  Stakeholder Management – An insight to the 10th Knowledge Area of Project Management Agenda/Description: A project, by its nature, has impact on people, most of the time. It might be the end-users, people living around the area, or the receiving department within the company. Right from the very start of the project, in the initiation stage, we identify stakeholders. Everybody who is impacted or feels impacted by an outcome of a project is a stakeholder. We then classify the stakeholders and create a communication plan that ensures that people are aware of the project and understand it, and that they know what is in it for them. This webinar covers how to identify stakeholders and how to perform stakeholder analysis. We also talk about managing stakeholders and stakeholders expectations, and finaly how to measure the effect of our stakeholder management strategy. Stakeholder management is a new knowledge area included in the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition. Prior, it was a covered to some extend by communication management. But communication within the project, about the activities and issues during project management, is perceived to be something very different then management of stakeholders. This webinar gives you a feel of this new Knowledge Area within the PMBOK, and hopefully an apatite for the PMP course we deliver! Session Details: Date: 15th March 2014Timings: 14:00 Hours CET You can register for this webinar on Simplilearn website http://www.simplilearn.com/resources/agile-and-scrum-webinars/stakeholder-management-an-insight-to-the-10th-knowledge-area-of-project-management-rrt7co10wb174
