PMI-ACP or Scrum Master
Hi,
I am playing a role of a Functional Manager and I wish toy move in complete program management. My organization uses Agile, but my projects where all waterfall.
I wish to do a certification on Agile to showcase my knowledge and skill. The primary purpose is I want to look out for change and befir I do that I want the right set of tools available with me.
I got my PMP certification on Dec, 2012.
While searching about certification I saw PMI-ACP and Scrum Master from Scrum alliance. Which one of these are more recognized in the industry? Or the question can be, is it worth taking a certification for the purpose of better opportunity.

Certification is not the best
Certification is not the best way to learn for the project you already have at hand. Certification is more of attestation of your already acquired skills.
Try to gain knowledge required for your project, in the process you will automatically be able to make the right choice between ACP and Scrum

Agile Training
As mentioned by Admin, certification alone will not help. The training quality is what matters the most. There are so many training providers and its difficult to choose from. I had a similar problem and somebody suggested me Scrumstudy(www.scrumstudy.com). The training was really good.

Scrum Master Certification CSM
found on http://www.scrum-master.info that Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance is to be renewed every 2 years. Is that true?
