PMBOK 5th edition

 Hi All,

I am planning to take the PMstudy bootcamp training in January. Its as per 4th edition and I have also started preparation for the PMP exam as per the 4th edition. But by end of December, 5th edition is coming up. Is the exam pattern going to change as soon as the 5th edition comes up. How does the 5th edition differ from that of 4th edition. Shall I take up the training later? Please help!!! I am really concerned.

For the first 6 months exam pattern will remain same i.e. based on PMBOK4 after PMBOK5 is out. After six months exam will shift to PMBOK5.

 Hi Ali,

Thank you for the info. Please do suggest me to take the exam now or later? Accordingly I will plan on taking up the training program with PMstudy.

Hi Chris, 

I am planning to take the exam in the 1st half of 2013 as i have been told that the exam would not change instantly after the 5th edition comes up.

As per my understanding, taking the exam at the earliest would be a wise decision.

I have chosen the online course offered by PMstudy for my preparation as it is difficult for me to take out time for the classroom training program.

 Hi Jenni,

Thank you for the advice. I would take the classroom training with PMstudy at the earliest and will give the exam by February.

PMP / CAPM Examination will be updated as per PMBOK 5th Edition after 31 July 2013.
