Have not seen your reply. Would like to get some more info about PgMP preparation (PMI Type) as also what all can we do other than PMI PgMP like StanfordAdvance Project Management or UBC Certificate in Program Management or various others available courses
I think jenijames541 is just bullshitting and spamming his link. PgMP exam is no joke and nobody who passes exam will write like that "hi i have passed exam....." like they are chatting on Facebook.
I also checked the online registry that his name "James" was not found. It is possible that his real name might be something else or he has opted not to be listed in online registry but still I have my doubts.
PgMP exam is one of the hardest and passing percentage is very low. Fee is also high and so are the requirements. Not everyone can attempt it.
PgMP has not been popular like PMP, practically speaking if you have experience as program manager you will have more offers and will be much in demand. The programs you have delivered successfully is your certification, In my opinion there is no need for PgMP for someone to showcase his Program management skills, neither will a large complex program get delivered successfully if the person is PgMP,. Majority of folks who do PgMP are in education profession ( trainers)
To apply for the PgMP exam, candidates need to have:
Option A:
* Secondary diploma (high school diploma associate’s degree or global equivalent)
* Minimum four years (6,000 hours) of unique non overlapping professional project management experience
* Minimum seven years (10,500 hours) of unique non overlapping professional project management experience
Or Option B:
* Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree global equivalent or higher degree)
* Minimum four years (6,000 hours) of unique non overlapping professional project management experience
* Minimum four years (6,000 hours) of unique non overlapping professional program management experience
It seems like that there is lot of misunderstanding about PgMP. I am PgMP since 2010 and I am one the PgMP trainer (training since 2010), under vCare Project Management. I have trained more than 300 PgMP Aspirants around the world. Time-to-time I run PgMP bootcamps in India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore and UAE.
