Initial result for new exam was failed-PMI emailed me today that I indeed did PASS

Hi,

I am not a regular poster on this forum, but I have read a lot during my studies for obtaining my PMP.

Little history. I sat on 8/31 and felt confident that I had passed. Received a fail result on 10/7. I received all MP.

I was devastated. Immediately sent payment to PMI to retake exam and scheduled to retake on November 4th.

However, tonight thankfully I recieved an email from PMI indicating that I indeed did pass the exam. The email indicated an error had occurred in scoring.

I am thrilled and relieved. Hope some of the others on here who recieved a fail will get the same news.

Hi,

I have the sample experience like you. I received a fail result on 10/7 and all MP. that's why i created a username call "lost-in-pmp'.

I was so sad and immediately sent payment to PMI to retake exam and scheduled to retake on November 1^st .

However, this morning I received an email from PMI indicating that I passed the exam. I think this time should be correct.

Is anyone can advise me how to ask for refund?

Initial result-Fail and now PASS

I have experienced something similar where PMI has sent me another email with new result as PASS. I can't be more thrilled!! But when I follow the link in the email to go to my PMI account, I do not see the new updated exam report. Has anyone else also faced the same situation?

lost-in-pmp- now you can change your id to pmp certified. Congratulations Are you able to see the new exam report yet?

Can't find my report - I passed

Congratulations all!!!

My certification report is missing too. I had passed in my first attempt on 22-Sep-2011, result came on 07-Oct-2011. I had my certification report as well then, today the report has disappeared. May be there are some corrections across the board. Will wait for the corrected report.

My exam is scheduled on November 1st; I was very afraid after reading about All MP's but fail status and thought for a while to postpond....but after reading PMI have corrected their mistakes; I am really encouraged to attempt it on time....

Failed, Paid, Passed, Confused?

The exact same thing happened to me.

September 29: PMP Test

October 7: You have failed the exam! {email}

October 8: Repaid and Reregisterd for exam

October 10: Congratulations on passing the exam! {email}

Once receiving the first email, I too was devastated and upset and wanted to pay for the exam as soon as possible to, more or less, make myself accountable and motivated to take it again.

I sent an email this morning stating that I would like my $375 refunded, so I hope I hear back soon from PMI on what exactly happened, and how they are going to remedy the situation.

You know there's a joke in here about in which Knoledge Area should you perform quality control with regard to sending erroneous emails... but I'll let it go.

Its the same thing for me

Its the same thing for me too. First email said I was failed and today I got an another email saying passed. But when I look at my report, nothing is updated.

Updated Report

I initially didn't have a report online (after the failed email). When I log in now, it has a report stating all MPs, and that I passed. My name also shows up in the PMP registry https://certification.pmi.org/registry.aspx with the correct date of my first exam.

I felt fairly confident I passed it the first time, and I would say that all MPs seems about right... more right than a failed test. I hope it gets situated soon, or they send out an official statement on these problems.
