PM should be more as a directive in Execution and as a coach in Planning.

The PM should more likely to be directive in planning stage where he should take the lead and give instructions to the initial team (who know very little to none) about the project than PM.
Again, in executing stage, when the final team is formed, the PM tends to be directive initially, then gradually progressing towards coaching, supporting, delegating.
initial team - those who get involved in planning activities as well (estimation, risk etc)
final team - everyone performing the project work

According to me in the project management needs to direct the things more as compared to coaching. Because manager needs to direct, give the idea the rest is the responsibility of his subordinates to follow his directions and instructions. Thank you so much for having this https://topaussiewriters.com/ website that contains lots of information.
