First attempt,(4Ps,1MP), Focus areas from experience...sharing.Brain dump that helped...

Plz read PMBOK and Rita with full focus...make sure you know how info flows from one process to other...how they are linked

...be clear on ITTOs...which tool to use where....

output like proj document update... PMP update...eef update.. OPA update... can u tell whr they appear....

Inputs like EEF...OPA...wpi..wpd...wpr...

Types of contracs...which scenario... which one works... read Rita for clarity...

Change requests....how to handle them....when to analyse the impact...when 2 ask for a formal request...when to update baseline... whn 2 inform stakeholder....integrated change mng has a order... memorise it....

Project closing...has lot of things to be done in order... memorise it... (lesson learnt, when do u capture those, like you can capture them thru out your project, but it is mandatory to capture them at the end and you don't release your project team untill then).....this looks like the easiest process while reading...but there can be many confusing questions about the things you need to do for a project closure....

Can you derive the terms by reading the definitions.... u knw in reverse order...there are quite a no. Of definitions in PMBOK which may not give u term easily... u need to read thise definitions...covering the left side with ur hand.... to test urself...

Master the formulas....and numericals..they are sure shots... u must get those....

I didnt find the free test sites that useful...they were too easy as compard to actual test....

Except scordo..i didnt find anything else thats free ... useful.... (this is available on the PMI's references, if you take the membership)

I went thru the entire list posted on PMzilla....4-5k questions....wasted a lot of time ....i realised after taking the exam...

I didn't try any paid simulators...so i don't knw abt them...

The questions on exam were definately not easy....if you are not clear on the whole picture of PMBOK.... it might be too difficult... i cracked it in first attemp...and I will give the credit to Rita's pmp exam -book and cristopher scordo's Q,A & explanations...

oliver lehmann...the clarity of questions were not good....they scared me....

3 months of effort....and I feel so proud now...

Some notes I used to get all ITTO related questions right....

Apart from those, I created my own notes capturing important terms and logics...10 pages.....and kept revising every night....

During the first 15 min.... i wrote down all the ITTOs.... i used the menomics list...i had prepared this during my preparation and  practised it every night... in 10 min I was able to put down all ITTOs on my sheet.....

It helped me get thru a lot of questions...confusing ones...comparing which tools to use where....say you doing a specific task.... all jumbled up words...it was easy to relate looking at the list where you are in the cycle...so which tools or inputs are applicable.... look for those in the options and you get the hit...... :p

I had not done any piad mock exam. Yet i passed .

If you can buy paid mock test fine and Gud but if  not you can you can still pass.

Agree. And so did I. But you are never sure whether to buy 1 or not...b4 u actually tk the exam.... though for me it worked without it....but I was scared and unsure till tht point....
