PMP Training options

Hi All,

I was preparing for fouth edition and was held up with some work and could not complete my PMP exam on time and the version changed. I am now preparing for fifth edition. I had got reviews that PMstudy was very good in PMP training for 4th edition. As the version has changed now, I wanted to know the reviews of the PMP training providers, which could really help me in getting PMP certified.

You can also go for online training options like Simplilearn, PM Prepcast, etc.

have a look at our online program as well , www.izenbridge.com

Hi,

Thanks for the options but I am looking for classroom training. I have looked into reviews in the meanwhile and have found that Global knowledge and PMstudy are good with their options and all. Please let me know which provider shall I choose and why?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

You can go ahead with PMstudy. They are still good with their options and offers. They have good faculties and nice course work. I had taken the training with them for 4th edition and cleared the PMP exam at the very first attempt. I am so impressed with the way of training that I can still vouch for them despite the change in edition.

Still would recommend you to have thorough research before joining any classroom training programs

Jeff, I had a workshop for a whole week, I went unprepared and was a complete waste. The trainer was good and material was all good, but keeping all that material in my head was the greatest problem. These is so muh 'stuff' that this silky certification covers and the terminologies are so similar that make it hard to remember, a weeks course did not do any good. I am studying and taking tests from every possible source and will soon see how I did. Others might not agree but thats my feeling.

Terminologies and processes in almost every organization are different and PMI has its own way of trying to standardize things, it might take ages to do so, in the meantime people like me will continue to struggle through the PMBOK rev 5 and 6 etc.and the inputs...and make others rich by doing so...

Hi there,

You can choose PMstudy (www.PMstudy.com) who are offering both classroom and virtual courses. They really have a nice approach and teach strategies to pass the exam. One of my colleagues has passed his exam and gave a really good feedback on the same.

PMPQ(www.pmtraining.es/PMPQeng.htm) provides a detailed overview of PM concepts and processes outlined in the PMBOK. It's now current for the 5th Ed. Intense study guide!!!

i prepared for pmbok 4 version first, but during the exam day due to some technical issues i could not write exam, and very next day pmbok4 expired.

so i had to prepare for pmbok5, i did and cleared exam 2 days back. i didn't took any training again.

my suggestion, reading pmbok5 guide should be fine.
