The difference between PMP and ITIL is:

Project Management Professional (PMP) is a certification administrated by the PMI. It is one of the most recognized certification for the professionals who are working in project management field.

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) provides a set of practices for IT service management. ITIL can be used to establish and integrate the procedures, tasks, processes in the organization.

In fact, most of the IT professionals opt for both ITIL and PMP Certification. But for a network administrator like you, my personal suggestion is to go with the PMP certification to excel your career because few things in PMP are overlapping in the ITIL course.

It is critical to business success that each project finish on time and within budget. PMP skills help you to contribute in a project success in a meaningful manner.

As he already described the basic difference between PMP and ITIL so I don’t want to repeat that. However, if you want to make a strong and bright future in IT industry then you should consider for having PMP course. If still have any other doubts then make a contact with experts from course providers like “ExcelR Solutions”.

Hi

If you are managing production support in your current profile then go fo ITIL, which is BAU(Business as usual) but if you are working as a project manager then go for PMP.
