Hi

I need you advice in my case and valuable inputs what all I can do in this time frame.

Since last 2 months I have been studying PMP .....Books Headfirst read once and RITA twice.......with a few excercise from both.

I had taken the 35 PDU today and also registerd for PMI.

My plan is to study PMBOK and Rita paralley again and start solving mock exams.

I want to get an estimate if 2.5 months from now is sufficient to cover PMBOK twice and Rita once along with other mock exams....I have a good understanding of basics from Rita......however can I take risk of schedulling Nov end or due I target December.....from ur experiences is 2.5 months of study with average of 4 hrs per day and weekend 5 hrs is sufficient.

Else what is your advice or view......so I can target NOV end

Need your help....as now I am getting a little nervous after registering for PMI.......

Regards
Dipti

Good plan, do keep notes of your own and also keep solving mock tests on regular basis, there are good number of free tests available.

Thankyou.......

Hi Dipti

It's good decision you made of getting PMI membership. There is rich study material that you can refer in PMI library access.
Your exam study plan looks good. You may also refer to my study plan and overall study experience at my blog below

all the very best !

Hi Dipti,

Your plan looks good, I believe you can do it earlier as well.

How reliable are all the mock tests available on the net ? Can anyone who has cleared the PMP advise

Best Regards
Uday

I recommend goal based plan rather than activity or duration based, the plan may result in same activity but focus is goal... you may check my video on goal based plan here

Hi Saket,

I went through the PMP application form filling video and audit video of yours and let me tell you I am now confident of filling the form for PMP :)

Initially I was in a different impression reading many posts that what if I am audited and should I submit my project related docs,.....

so your video was one shop stop to all of my answers.

This week i am targeting to go through all of your videos on youtube as part of my study plan!

Thnakyou once again

Saket,

Please can you help me on how I can take mock exams from Izenbridge -paid and free.

Good to know that you liked our video contents, on mock tests, we do not sell just tests since it become difficult to ensure pass with just tests... we sell our online program in complete which is again not expensive :-)

In my opinion, from the point you stand now, you should have enough time left to get reasonably ready to sit the exam.

My suggestion is to try to follow your PMP study plan for a couple of weeks, and then check where you stand.

To do so you may find useful a table reporting the time required by the various PMBoK areas of knowledge presented in this page:
the 600 hours PMP study plan

That's in my opinion a little more useful than just counting the pages or the number of chapters left. Let's say you can use it as a baseline :)

Good luck with your study.

yes I am progressing and where I see that i ahve gaps I extend my time and catch back at an easy chapter for me......:)

I am breaking for mock tests after every 4 chapters i read to see where i stand.

You are moving along well. You can enhance your training by using an online study of which is what my son-in-law did. I suggest PMStudy.com where you will also have access to mock exams.
